Pointscore Round 1: Ed Parker Rotary Park: Kingscliff

Meeting/Destination:

We will be meeting at the Eagleby KFC Carpark at 8.00am for an 8.30am departure. Please arrive early for the Drivers Briefing. The GTR/XU1 and HD/HR Car Clubs will be joining us on this Club Outing.

We will travel in convoy south on the M1, keeping to the middle lane where possible to avoid merging traffic from Yatala to Reedy Creek where the highway becomes two-lane. We will keep left from there.

We will exit the M1 at Fingal Road to Kingscliff and Chinderah Exit, which is the Tweed Coast Way Tourist Drive to Ed Parker Rotary Park, Kingscliff at about 10.30am NSW time.

The Club Trailer will be waiting for us at the park with the kettle boiled for a cuppa. Feel free to bring along a plate for morning tea. The Club will provide a BBQ lunch for Monaro Club of Queensland members and their guests.

Please ensure your car is clean for Pointscore and that you have a full tank of fuel and set your CB Radio to Channel 17. Our return trip will begin at 2.00pm Queensland time.

Woodford Country Markets and Woodford Hotel Lunch

Meeting/Destination:

We will be meeting at Shell Nudgee at 9.00am for an 9.30am departure. We are leaving early so we can get to the Woodford Country Markets before lunch.

The group will travel in convoy north on the M1, taking Exit 152B to Kilcoy, then it’s a straight run through to Woodford.

We will park our cars across the road from the hotel and stroll back to the Markets.

Lunch is booked for 12:30pm, so please return to the Woodford Hotel before then.

Options for return trip. You can high tail it back the way we came, running the M1 traffic gauntlet or, we can travel in convoy back to Brisbane via Mount Mee and Mount Samson.
